Located on the plateau poblana, 84.3 km from Puebla, this small town of strong Nahuatl character is located. Among its houses of white stone and roofs of zacate stands the Franciscan Ex-Convent, which highlights the coffered ceiling of the Plateresque temple and the paintings of the cloister.


Its boundaries are to the north with Magdalena Tlautlauquitepec and San Juan Atzompa, to the south with Santa Catarina Tlaltempan and Chigmecatitlán, to the east with Tzicatlacoyan and Zacapala and to the west with Teopatlan and Coatzingo.
