This small town located 16 km from Atlixco on the slopes of Popocatépetl retains a strong Nahuatl character. At its highest point is the Ex-convent of Our Lady of the Assumption, a true fortress that can be visited. In the atrium some frescoes are still preserved. In the immediate vicinity remain ancient aqueducts of the colonial era. The Day of the Dead celebration is traditional.
To the north with San Nicolás de Los Ranchos, to the south with Atzitzihuacan and Cohuecán, to the east with Tianguismanalco and Atlixco, to the west with the state of Morelos and the Popocatépetl volcano.
