- Health security will be key to the choice of tourist destinations: Barahona de la Rosa
CITY OF PUEBLA, Pue.- The Ministry of Tourism is working on a comprehensive plan to reactivate the sector, consisting of a series of strategic actions that will allow the tourist activity in the state to restart, once sanitary conditions allow it, affirmed the head of the agency, Vanessa Barahona de la Rosa, when holding a work meeting with members of the Vive Puebla association.
He affirmed that the State Government monitors this industry worldwide and is identifying clear opportunities in the face of new challenges, one of them health security, which will be the key that will determine decisions when choosing a destination, accommodation, transportation and activities to do.
In this sense, the official stressed that the economic reactivation must obey the state traffic lights; and in relation to this, the opening of activities and sectors in a gradual and staggered manner.
“ I wish to reiterate my commitment to build the necessary bridges to build together a new scenario, in which the sector is strengthened and thus we can reinvent ourselves together with you, the tourism industry, and we can offer a safe and strengthened destination in its promotion policies. Barahona de la Rosa pointed out that tourism, first of all the domestic one, will undoubtedly contribute to the economic reactivation of the state of Puebla”.
At this working table, the members of this promotion council exchanged points of view and suggested a series of commercial strategies for the comprehensive reactivation plan, as well as for the collaborative promotion of state tourism promotion.
The event was attended by Gerardo Moreno Martínez, president of the Vive Puebla association, as well as hoteliers and tourism service providers.
