It is located where the station of the Mexican Railroad was located, inaugurated on September 15, 1869 by President Benito Juárez.
It was inaugurated in 1988, dedicating itself to the protection, study, rescue and dissemination of the Mexican railway heritage. In this attractive museum, you will find the most precious goods produced by the Mexican railways in their magnificent collections.
Currently, the Museum has acquired the status of National Center for the Preservation of Railroad Cultural Heritage. Among its main attractions are: passenger cars, a permanent exhibition of locomotives, cabuses, freight cars, machinery, tools used in the operation of the railways, courses and workshops, dramatized guided tours, conferences and concerts.
